Marketing Communications Intern

Position Summary

The Marketing Communications Intern supports the Marketing Communications Specialist to execute internal and customer-facing (external) communications that reinforce RxFunction’s corporate, marketing, brand, and program objectives. This individual must be proactive, highly organized, eager to learn, and an effective communicator (written and verbally). They will interact closely with a cross-functional group through-out various department as well as external vendors/partners. The Marketing Intern is a part-time position with flexible scheduling resulting in approximately 6-12 hours a week of work.

Job Responsibilities

• Support Marketing Communications Activity:
  • Assist in the editing, creation, and execution of new and existing pieces (i.e., sales pieces, brochures, presentations, direct mail, etc.).
  • Manage promotional material – oversee inventory, ensure proper use of company brand and product logos.
• Reporting and Analysis:
  • Create clean data sets by cross-referencing against other data sources.
  • Assist with reporting on campaign metrics, digital presence, and sales trends.
• Assist with logistical planning and execution of trade shows.
• Manage leads earned from digital and print campaigns including overseeing incoming inquiries and entries into our database.
• Administrative Activities:
  • Maintain compliance to the RxFunction Quality Policy/System, and all other documented quality processes and procedures, when performing assigned tasks.
  • Manage Marketing Communications storage shelving.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Has or is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited university
• Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office – particularly Excel and Word.
• Knowledge or Experience with Google Analytics, Email Automation, SEO, Social Media, Adobe Suite; including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 40lbs, unpack/ pack literature and/or tradeshow materials in boxes, transfer items to warehouse for shipping, and successfully track materials for arrival.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile. The employee is also required to use a computer and communicate with others.
