Walkasins Patients_Neuropathy in Feet
Compared to their peers, people with Peripheral Neuropathy:
  • Experience 15x more fall-related injuries1
  • Walk and react slower2
  • Have impaired balance3
For Those with Sensory Peripheral Neuropathy

More than 20 million Americans suffer from peripheral neuropathy.

Peripheral neuropathy presents symptoms such as numbness, tingling, and pain, especially in the hands and feet. This is the result of damage done to the peripheral nerves of the body.

Peripheral neuropathy patients can develop balance problems that limit their physical function and mobility, impeding participation in social and physical activities and causing decreased health and quality of life.

Increased mobility leads to a better long-term health outcome. Walkasins® can help people with peripheral neuropathy who still have some sensation in the lower leg and want improved balance and mobility.

Having balance brings well-being.

Walkasins_Neuropathy Device | Neuropathy and Walking

RxFunction™ offers a non-invasive device to enhance quality of life by restoring balance to patients with peripheral neuropathy, Walkasins® Sensory Neuroprosthesis.

Intended for long-term daily use, Walkasins replaces critical sensory information for maintaining balance, which is reduced or absent in persons with peripheral neuropathy.

The device, worn around the lower leg, detects and measures balance with pressure sensors placed under the foot, then non-invasively delivers balance information to the nervous system through vibratory motors.

Walkasins is not appropriate for users with insufficient muscle control to act on the Walkasins device, or those unable to feel sensory stimulation.
